Ok im about to start my plant, i just wana know if it is possible to growa plant of some fire bud wihtout any hps or mh lighting involved. If it is how many of those curly flourescents would i need in one fixture to assure a good growth and flowering of the plant?

You will need five 45w cfl's equivalent to 150w, to flower one plant thats what i was told

How many days after i plant the germinated seed do i need to start using the HPS? I am gonna be starting it with a single clf because i was told that during the first days of growth where the seedling acutally sprouts, no high watt lighting is needed. Is that true>?

when the seed sprouts...I didnt put any light on mines until they dropped they're shells, they were small white and didnt have any leaves yet, I left the light on them and the next morning I looked and they alread had their first set of leaves

and no, no high wattage light is needed...I had mine under 4-26w CFL's

Yes.

The rule is the more watts the better.

Yes, but make sure the CFLs are very closes where they almost touching them. They generate almost no heat, but just make sure they are not touching them. Check out MAJOR TOKE's gallery. You'll see what I mean. Good luck. NO HPS until timer goes to 12/12. You can even use CFLs to flower.
