my babies r new to the world and are in little cans growing. i got a Y adapter for my cfl's. only got 2, for the moment of course. But the y splits off so far, and like i can't get the plant to be under both. i got this at wal-mart. And above the two lights is a lamp head (comes standard to trap light with lamps). So did i get the wrong adapter? can my plants go in betweeen the two, and still get the light from both? the other light is i'd say 3-4 inches to the left. and 2- 2.5 inches higher than the plants. will the extra be useless or helps? no most y adapters are the same size and i use the ones from walmart
yes, you'tre plats can go in between the 2 that's probably where they should go keep them about 1 inch from the plant
no closer, no farther
you may have to adjust regularly
the more light the better
just make sure they are close
an inch and don't put any kind of light that emits large amounts of heat very close to it as it will burn it
i would suggest investing in some more cfl's
and possibly different tones for vegging and flowering

i added a picture above, so ur saying even thought the lights seem to so far away? well mainly left one, it will still benefit, more then them both being under just the larger right one?

are those the only two lights you have?
i would actually put the left one closer as seedlings benefir from that tone of light better in the seedling stage so put the one on the left right in the middle and keep it very close but keep the other one on and near..
consider building a grow box and investing in more cfl lights not to expensive and totally worth it..
also keep them on 24/7 for at least a month
and you will probably need at least six lights to sustain those all the way through..
