Computer fan thread...

i need a guide on how to wire a computer fan in a socket or whatever you plug you electronics in.. it has to include photos and tools need. i need this fast because my ventilation is terrible!!!

I don't believe that a computer fan would put out enough air. The electricity that comes out of an electric socket is 120VAC and the computer fan needs 12V DC. You can use a car battery charger or something else that puts out 12V DC to power the fan.

There are a dozen threads on this subject on this site, as well as many others if you search google. PLEASE try to do that before creating YET ANOTHER thread.

I will answer your question even though I usually wouldnt. You get one of those chargers for a cell phone or a router or anything that puts out 12v DC power, cut the wires, and wire in your fan. Works for one fan or multiple fans.

man just get a good little fan they dont push enough air have tried and wont be good at all. i just use a wisper air bathroom fan run about 100 bucks...but i need mine to be quiet but...they do sell for cheaper just check them out...if your in need of good fans there are many post in here about this already...but just do some reading or people will get mad that your wasting there time, and could have been solved by alittle reading under other forms. hopes this helps

Depending on the space he is attempting to grow in, a computer fan could work perfectly fine.

ya, a computer fan could work. but then you could get a 120volt transformer to 12volt d.c from your local computer shop i use princess auto got crap for farmers...i did this on my first setup years ago and was unhappy i was only using 2 mothers in an inclosed box of 3 by 4 by 2. if your going to use them and can afford 5 bucks go get a step down transformer will save u many hours of bullshitting car battery's.

Most people have a 12.0vsitting around their house, and thats all you really need. Just cut the end of and match the open wires to the cut ends of the computer fans u bought. Real easy

yep most old wireless telephones have them... there easy dont even have to worry about the common..just hook up since there low voltage...see what ya can find..and dont worry if there not 12volt d.c can be 9.6 it will be no problem just wont go as fast as the 12 volts but it will not wreck them.

so a telephone charger would work?
