What do you guys think about 24 hrs for starts for 1 or 2 weeks as opposed to starting right off with 18/6 schedule.

if you do that, dont go str8 to 18/6, every week drop by 2 hours or so on the light cycle. some ppl like to give a little dark bc it give the plant time to recuperate. in light, the plant is working, in dark, the plant is given time to rest and that's why you hear some ppl say it seems the plant got taller once they check back in the morning vs. at the end of the day.

I stick with the 24/0 for the whole seedling/veg... it's a short season, work those plants! After 2-3 months of veg I cut the lights to 18/6 for less than a week (and change over 25% of the lights from "grow" to "bloom.") After that it's 12/12 with 75%-100% of the lights on "bloom" instead of "grow"

wow, 3mon for veg. is a lil much, but i guess you max. yield for sure. i did mine for 2month and it was huge, but male, so im kinda over growing in veg. for too long unless you're cloning and know you have a female.

i always change straight to 18/6 after 24/0 for the first 2 weeks,,,i find that by the second week of 24/0 my plants start to look like they need a kip,and after the first 6 hours of darkness they get they start to perk back up,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,peace

just go 24hrs light for 2 weeks , then let them sit in the dark for 24hrs then go strait to 12/12 and you should have bud with in the next 4 weeks . plants wont be big but its a fast way to bud your plants.

The plant cant use more than 18/6. Remember plants do most of their growing at night using the energy they stored durring the day. Plus veging plants need less actuall lumens than flowering plants. You are waisting money on power.

I second the 18/6 veg cycle. From what I have observed, the plants seem much healthier and grow quicker under 18/6 light schedule.
