I was wonderin if I had a zip lock bag and put seeds in paper towel wet it put it in the zip lock bag close it and then put it in the dark would it work?

Better then a zip lock bag try a small tubber ware type container.

Yup I use a tupperware container with a small hole on the top and I set it (on a cd coaster) on the back of my monitor where its about 90* farenheit.

I forgot to tell you that some people put their seeds in a cup of water to losein the cell. About 24hours in the water should do it.

Do you guys usually grow from seeds, or you make clones? I understand if you sprout a new strain obviously you need to germinate it, but otherwise i hope you make clones lol

In that same 24 hours of water soaking the monitor gets them popping... Longest one took 48 hours to tap. Another 24 hours to sprout (I help mine out of the soil with teenie tiney surgical clean bobby pins.) open green sprout leaves on a short stalk within 24 48 hours (these times were done with 24 hour lighting and a constant temperature of 86* farenheit.

welcome to the forum. most of us had to start with seeds. Its not like we can all go out and buy clones of MJ plants.

Start with seeds and when you get a good mother plant you can take clones off of her.

Clones don't take as long to grow.

heh obviously ;P i have 6 mothers standing by, each different strains and i have a backups to replace the mothers after ive used em. So they stay nice and healthy and i have clones as much as i need at the perfect times
