ok i picked up a few thangs today at wallmart.they are starting to stock ther plant things.

tell me what you think of that fert for the veg stage.

also do you think that the rapping paper thats in the pic will work good for a mylar type. (i read someone saying that you can use rapping paper well what do you think about this.

and the handy moisture meter. when should i water using this meter (if anyone know's. and can you tell what size these pots are doesnt say anywhere on them. pretty large tho.



also i didnt even spend anymore then like 17$ think thats a good deal on these things.

well its a 5-1-1 fert . . im not too sure but i think thats a bit weak. . . i know alot of people are using 20-20-20 but im using a 3-8-4 for my 3 week old baby girl. . .hoping its a girl. . .

Yeah I think that wrapping will be good. It might not be as good as mylar but its way cheaper. I have a meter that looks like your but mine does the ph and light too. On the water thing. Mine is like this. 1-3 is red, 4-7 is green, and 8-10 is blue. I would water around 2 or 3. That way your soil isn't alway wet wet and your roots can grow a little. I don't really know about your though.

yea i know but couldnt i double up on it and then it would be 10-2-2. im not planing on using this the whole grow just for the veg stage.

ok with this meter if the top of the soil is really dry and the bottoms reading really wet what can i do to help this for is this normal.

I would water it with a spray just a little to get the top moist. Not enough to have the water run down the soil to where its already wet. Know what I'm saying?

you will have to drill drainage holes in the bottom of those pots. If you want to know how big they are fill them with water, then measure the water. If you are trying to go cheap for reflective material, why not just use flat white paint? its 85% reflective, mylar is 90%. who knows what wrapping paper is, maybe you'll start a trend.

Mylar is 98%.
