Getting a little house renovation. My lights are usally on from 12pm to 12am. Would it hurt if i give them 16 hours of dark then just switch to 4pm to 4am. When the work is done. just couple of days can i go back to my 12 12

That will work. But your going to have to turn the light out at 4am then restart at 12am. (20hrs of darkness)If you want to stay with that light cycle.

Yeah, you don't want to interupt the dark cycle. While in flower they always need 12hrs of darkness. You can have a longer or shorter light cycle, but always have at least 12hrs of darkness.
