Anyone know how many foot candles of light plants need?

I recently bought a light meter, but Im having difficulty getting information on how much intensity they need? I hope I dont have too much light? Comments appreciated.

got a light meter to day ... for free

used 350$ at my local hydro store to day (some ventilation .. nutriens .. 100x microcope .. bloom Kalong/povder ..aso.

notice the light meter at the disk .. have been thinking about my T5HO I use for Veg as I have used some time trying to find the right distance .. so could be funn to have ..

he toald me they cost 80$ but since they had em for long time and had a lot they desided to place them on the disk and sell em for 40$
guess he notice I was interested in em .. and since I just use a lot of money he gave me one

2K foot candles = 21500 Lumens per sq ft.

5K =53000 Lumens

7K = 75000 Lumens

(4 inches away from my 600W HPS I have 8-9K .. guess thats about right .. as my HPS are 92K lumens)

I may add that I keep my HPS 16 inch`s away from my tops ... 18-22 inches to most tops though ..

and I had 6-7K foot candles at my very top .. most tops had around 5K .. bottom growth had around 2-3K

so if my mat skills serve me right I got 75K Lumens per sq ft. at my very top

and most tops resive +50K

just in case somebody have been wondering .. I know I have before I got this .. great tho it wont make my plants grow faster but nice toy ..

ooh yea .. and pointet at the maylar (at the most iluminatet spot) I read 5K foot candles !!!

and the maylor is about 1½ feet away from the HPS ..

opposite wall is just plain white (cool for a littel experiment I guess) ...

I read 2K foot candles at ther brightest spot ... so maylar is double as strong .. plus some ..

at plants tops ...I read 5-6K ..

if I turn it away from the HPS and point it at the maylor 4 inches away I read 3K foot candles ..

so backside also get ok light .. opposite wall they get 1-2K ... at best

guess I need to vistit my hydro store tomorrow

... fukc plain white !!!!
