So I've been PHing a fair bit of water lately. And I was careless with the PH Down(aka acid AND NOT THE TRIPPY TYPE). So now I've got some minor acid burns on my hands.

Obviously I could just be a bit safer with the acid but was wondering if anyone had any tips beyond that?

yeah man stay away from the PH down, didnt you read the label? LOL How the hell did you spill it on you?? Man I only use little of that stuff at a time. it only takes me 1/4tsp to Ph balance 5 gallons. Well hope the hands are ok man..peace out....

oh yeah and if the burns are bad, then rap them LOOSLY with some medical wrap. the key thing there is LOOSLY. that will keep germs out~ first aid and CPR trained...haha and I said I would neva use it!

If you have an acid reaction happening on your hands dip them in a base solution for 5 minutes to allow the base to neutralize the acid. After that lotion the burns and they will be gone within a week.

We had this happen a few times in the marines with cleaner concentrates.

or if you don't have anything like base solution...just rinse them off as fast as you can under warm water

let them air dry

and put lotion on like an hour later...i had the same issue as you. it worked fine for me
