Is there any kind of light I could use to look at my plants while there in the dark.
I was thinking inferred or some type of night vision.

But what about black lights, or specific colors of LEDs.

use green lights, plants reflect green so it wont hurt them at all.

Green light is safe to use, the plants cant absorb it so they dont see it. They sell green LED lights to use in your garden. I have been wanting to try it out. But I really dont need to go in there when the lights are off. Let us know how it works.

I've gone into my room when lights are off using a CFL that has a green filter on it, so all the light was green, my plants are just fine, none turned hermie ( most already were), but none of the non-hermie plants turned on me. if you need to go in there, get a green light.

just wait till the next day to look at it or when the light is on.. its not going to be noticable growth anyway.

Unless there is a problem that needs immediate attention best to let the mary jane get their beauty sleep. If you need to move things around, do maintenance then best to do it when the lights are already on.
