I would think the seeds were genetically altered to be female. I could be wrong though. Plants seems to have a will of their own.

I was taught that non-feminized seeds will grow a healthier plant.

I would assume so. We are still no match for nature.

Feminized seeds are just all opinion in my opinion. LoL that makes no sense. some swear by them and some trash them. I personally think they are kinda of a waste.

Not sure if this is true or not as I have never dealt with them before, but I've read that it is very common to end up with hermi's. To me, that kinda sounds like it is too risky! Like seedlessone says though, some people swear by them.

What happens if you end up with hermies?

No you would have both sex on one plant. Pollen in your grow room and seeds it your pot. basically a nightmare if not controlled!~ LOL

You can make your own feminized seeds, by inducing hermaphrodity in 2 females by stressing them. I've done it by erradically messing with the light cycle. The seeds will be about 95-100% female in my experience.
