CFL"S vs MH/HPS

i want everyones opinion on whats better when growing bubbleponics cfl"s for growing or a mh/hps switchable ballast????????

i havent started my grow yet but ive been doin alot of studying and the best light system would be hps.but its recomended to start wit a mh light for veg and switch to hps for flowering. you can buy a converter mh bulb for a hps system. i am gonna do my grow in bubbleponics too. i chose hps system.

cool dude yea i am growing bubbleponics to with a 1000 watt ballast mh/hps switchable but i was juss trying to see whats better to grow bubbleponics with

Good!! That will turn out great!! Lets all just start using CFL's in the bathroom, and things around the house! That is what they are for!! LOL. Not growing plants. You made the right choice!

yea dude thats what i thought to but everyone is like on a cfl revolution or somethin lol

You do realize that not everyone's grow space can support HID lighting right? That is often times why they use CFL. Also stealth grows. You can easily yield 2-3 oz a plant...So before you say they are not for growing plants...why don't you tip toe on over to the CFL sub forum...or browse through GK's book.

I am sorry but if all you can do is grow in a computer case or a speaker box, or a shoe box, then why don't you just buy it? I know that I smoke enough, that I would not waste 3 months of grow time, so I don't have to buy anything for 2 weeks. LOL. Just not worth the time. I have tip toed over to the kiddy section of this site (cfl's section), and you really have to be a light weight, and barely ever smoke for that to be enough smoke to make it worth it. Sorry!

You can say that again! My god! They take such offense too, when they hear people say they are a waste of time. They really are if you smoke daily, and if you do smoke daily the amount of CFL's you would need to grow enough would equal more watts then if you just got an HID! LOL... You made the right choice, don't listen to them! Look at the best growers on this site, and see what they use, most likely outdoors, or indoors with HIDS!

lol.....thanks dude who is this guy anyways??? seriously??? haha anyways yea you right dude alot of the experts ive talked with say that 1000 watts ballast of mh for veg. and 1000 watts ballast of hps should be goood to go for 6 plants so hopefully that will work out for me but some people and there cfl"s.....smh (shaking my head) but hey i aint knockin anyones way of growing whatever way you wana grow then grow that way as long as my way is better then as far as im concerned them cfl dudes can suck balls through straws

Right, I am not trying to argue with anyone, just putting some things out there. Lots of people go to this site to decide what to get. So they should be able to see a debate and decide for themselves! I love everyone on this site, even if I don't agree!

Grow what you want, but might as well do it right! With 1000 watts you can do more then 6 plants, don't waste any space! if you have the room, then put more in!

I use 1000 MH and I put around 16 under mine!
