Default Miracle Grow perlite - Possible problem?

I had two really nice plants but they are both exhibiting possible overfeeding (one worse than the other). I am using a 50/50 mix of peat moss and coir and into that mixture, putting in about 20% of the MG perlite. I could only find Miracle Grow perlite (feeds plants for up to 3 months crap). Has anyone had any similar problems? Believe it or not, that is all I can find in my area, no regular plain perlite.

I flushed and they seem to be doing better. My ph is at 5.8 (because of the soiless mix) and I ppm'd my solution and it came out to what my Fox Farm Hydro chart showed it should be at so I didn't overmix.

I'll post some pics tomorrow as my brother has my camera.
