Default I can't seem to find any info on this method of dry/curing

I've got a few plants and i was wondering how the buds might turn out if i decided to just stop watering the plant when they were close to harvest. And instead of cutting them down, hanging them to dry ect how would they turn out if you just let the whole plant dry out in the dirt and the buds with it. it would probably take a couple months i'd think. another thing i'm curious about is would cannabis that is overripe, meaning it goes through the whole life-cycle and the buds are left on until the plant is nearly dead, have more potential as medical weed for pain and sleep aid

its will take longer to dry cuz of the moisture in the extra stems and it will prob be harsh cuz it wasnt cured, itll get you high but not as high as if you dryied and cured it properly

just cut the plant down, hang your branches from a hanger, then put them in a air tight jar.

I let my stuff sit in a jar for 1.5 months. Cannabis is like wine, the longer it sits the better and smoother the taste.

leaving the plant in the ground is an invitation for trouble, during those several months
that it is withering it will still be available for bugs and molds to grow on, if it is out doors
people may steal it or animals might eat it, and the thc will degrade in light, especially direct sun.

There is a reason why it has been done in the dark, cut from the ground and with air circulation...
because that is what makes it good weed.

so how about if i left it in the dark to dry(indoors w/ventilation no bugs). i just wonder if there are any extra nutrients in the roots that when dried intact would also be absorbed up into the flowers possibly. i'll try it just as an experiment on one plant to see how it tastes and feels when dried and cured as on the whole plant and see if the buds are more stoney type. just a new test of drying & curing that there seems to be no information on. i'm a breaker of tradition, i guess i'll just see what happens. anyone ever fed their plant juices(something else?) to enhance or change the flavor..

you dont want any nutes in the plant thats why you flush for a week in soil to get all nutes out of the plant or itll taste like crap. The buds will be crispy and taste bad if you leave it to die like that as the plant will use the thc as it dies when you cut it the plant dies fast so it doesnt use much of the thc to try and live on

ah, ok now there's some good advice, i definately don't want to ruin the buds. i'll just leave one plant to mature a little longer hopefully it'll help me sleep better
