Default Switching cycles HELP!!!

its been 3 months on veg , switched to hps. ive been on a 18/6 schedule where my lights turn on at 7am and turn off at 1am . Switching to 12/12 tommorow, but, do the plants need a 24/hr off period or can i go straight into 7am off at 7pm cycle?

I think I've only read of one person doing somthing other than just switch the lights to 12/12

I went from 24/0 straight to 12/12 with no issues, seems to work great.

no it isnt mine wish it was it looks insain, stole it off google almost a year ago and never looked back :P
yea I'd just go for the straight switch
