Yesterday i was browseing through the forums and came across rubbermaid grow boxes. Such a simple idea and looks like it works from seeing people's grow. I used two 30gal rubbermaid totes, two 18" light fixtures, one radioshack 120v ac computer fan, one extension cord, two clamps to hold it together, all climate door & window weatherseal, one 2" 90degree elbow, mylar & tinfoil tape, six 100w cfl's and two blizzzies for the time peroid of making it. Take your time don't rush. Lowes Knows
hey by the way where did you get that light fixture, and how difficult was it to wire? IMHO you may have been better off going with one fixture and using 3 of the y splitters same number of bulbs and it saves a little space but hell of a set up
Hell, if you have the room for it. I would go ahead and get six of the y's so you can double the lights that you can use in there. That is one of the best setups like this that i have seen. Very nice. I still have all the cfls from my first grow and i just might make one of those for another small grow while my others are in the hps room. If so i am going to copy yours to a T. Thanks for posting some pics of it.
I think you could get away with it. Just double up on the fans for the intake and exhaust. There has to be a way to get it to work. And then you could have a really great yeild.
Looks good bro! Good luck on the grow. I just recently built a grow box out of the same boxes. I am having some trouble with keeping the temp down in the box. Are you having any problems with temps getting to high? Here's the link to mine if you wanna check it out. My First Grow
my concern would be plant height... don't you think they'll get way too tall for that box? i'm in the middle of my first grow and my tallest plant is up to my nose now, and i'm 5'9''. i didn't plan on it growing this tall AT ALL... maybe i just shouldve read more into how to keep plants short and bushy instead
