I want to turn my empty bedroom into a grow room,will $400 do it or will i need more money.I really just want to grow a couple massive plants instead of tons of plants.

That would work great. There is a local electrical supply store here that sells HPS and MH lights, I priced the MH lights for 15.00$ and then the socket that it plugs into is 18.00$ , then u get some cable and connect the lights up. Thats a price on a 400 watter. That will work nice and u should use a combination of both, I haven't price the other light yet, but it can't be much more. That is good enough to grow about 20 plants at least, I am guessing... And just a couple plants would love that much light. I went with a much cheaper CFL setup for now. Go to walmart and buy the 6500k CFL lights, get about 8 to grow 2 nice plants, and that is a even cheaper way to go They working great for me, and I have 3 under 8 CFL's and 2x48 FL

400 bucks can get you a 1000w setup, pots and soil, ferts and seeds. You could grow quite a bit.
