Exclamation Melted Snow for Plant Water

i heard that you can use melted snow for plant water..... i am just wondering if anyone else can second that info, and does anyone know the ph level of snow???

also what is the ph. level that i want the soil/water to be???

i heard plants love melted snow

I would think it depends where you live.If your in the mountains the ph and usability would be more likely usable verses New York or Chicago snow.Similiar to acid rain.More pollution higher the levels and contaiminates

very good question. i would think if you lived in a clean, say mountainy, enviroment it would be better than tap water. i've heard snow works EXCELLENT to make bubble hash.

Thumbs up We use it!

We use rain water and snow water it is slightly acidity... hence acid rain... so you need a ph tester, but it has a good supply of nitrogen to your veg. plants.... our seem to love it... we don't fertilize alot since using the rain/snow H2O. Hope that helps ya it hasn't killed any of mine yet.

thats what im using..up here in cleveland we got plenty of that..but im sure u already know!..hey did u hear its supposed to get down to -2 F here in ohio, and thats not including the wind chill... were gonna get a lot more snow this weekend..
