Default Lumuns and k's
ok i was at lowes and saw a light that had 6500k in the t12's wich i have and all i was thinking what if i got t5 what would i need and does the lumens add up? like 1 light has 6500 lumens and i have 2 of them is that 13000 lumens and if so what do i need for both flowering and vegging and what k's do i need?

and what is best t5 or t8

if going floro's t8's are better than t12, and t5 is better than t8. out of any of them i would recommend the t5's. there is people on here who have flowered and gotten really good buds with t5s.

i used t8's for vegg then moved it into CFLs for flower. you want the 6500 for vegg then once flowering time comes you want more 2300ish for flower. hope this helps

The K refers to Kelvin degrees not lumens.They are measuring different things.The Kelvin figures have more to do with the colour of light, and lumens with intensity.I know this is a vast oversimplifacation, but life is too short.Also,yes 2 times 6500 is 13000 lumens. There are other considerations in lighting as well, Check out any of the excellent threads on the subject.

ok thanks i found some good threads on the matter is the more lumens the better? like if i can some how get upwardds of 13000 or more?
