If i was going to grow in a little closet thing that is 3' by 3' by 5'' about how many cfl will i need for 1 or 2 plants? like how many bulbs and how many watts? Also will cfl's get to hott a propose a fire risk. I dont want it to get really hott in there

i had a closet around that size......had around 8 cool white cfl's for veg. not that much heat.... 14 warm white cfls for flower and got quite hot....topping the 100's.... i went and got a 250hps and temps are high 80's with door closed and very little ventilation, but low 80's with door open.

u had 8! or 14! how mnay plants were u growing and what watts were the bulbs

2 plants....4 cool white cfls per plant 26w for veg..... 7 warm white per plant under reflector per plant 26w for flowering.

instead of getting four 26 watt cant i just get like 1 cool white 100w for veg and a warm white 150 watt for flowering?

ya, but if u wanna do that i would recommend doing something call lollipopping, ur gonna get disappointing nugs at the bottom of the plant. lollipoppin consist of cutting the lower 1/3 off to produce larger nugs uptop.

make sure u get a reflector for those.

yea that would be fine i will get a reflector and as long as i get some nugs then im fine
