Default Switching from indoor to outdoor

I just got this lamp and a 75w Phillips medium base plant light and I've come to the fact that i have no where to grow outdoors. This lamp does give off a pretty good bit of heat. I have a house next door and it has no air conditioning but i have a fan and a closet in there to hide it. However hot it is during the day is how hot it is in the trailer. The plant is almost 3 weeks old and has about to have its first set of five point leaves. Please let me know how close the lamp should be to the plant and isn't it supposed to be 12 light/12 light-off??

Start at 2 to 3ft from top.If you want to start it flowering now go to 12on 12 off.Rule i use on distance is hand palm up,if its hot on hand its too hot so move light up.

I actually didn't know when to start the 12 hour process. I was just letting it get all the sun it could while it was outdoors. But now im planning on doing the 12 hours on 12 off. But how do you know when you should start. I also have not transplanted this yet. Its been in the same container as before. Sorry im new at this. haha

You can start anytime to switch to 12/12, needless to say, your plant should be "old" enough to produce good flowers. I usually start after 3 weeks of veg and have good results, trying to keep it as small as pos I also lst my plants.

Yea, but i bet your using more than 75w? I use 40w per sqft and if he has the room IMO best yield would be 2 months.

Actually I'm limited to a small space and can only grow 3 to 4 plants, I use T5 florescent, just a 24" 2 bulb abt 44W for now and looking to get a 4 bulb unit in the future, but I still get decent growth.
