Start bending it and tieing it down. Also what nutes is he using, I use a three part and when it starts to get too big I cut back on the grow nute. Not all togther as it contains the nitrogen but I cut way back like half to a third of what it needs. But tie down for sure little bit each day so he does not break anything.

so what i did was get some hemp string and tie them down.i did this a lot sooner that the stage u are in tho.if u are in tent and u have a plant getting too big its tuff.one thing u can do is get rid of one or 2.also i would have done this sooner too.if one is streaching real bad them u can supercrop it to stop upward growth.if u tie them down(low stress bending)colas will form down the stem and grow up.be sure to allow for growth in the stem so dont tie tight! make a loop or something cuz it will cut thru stem as plant grows.in a tent if they get too close to light the nugs will foxtail and not finish out so plan ahead nex time and u will have shorter fater buds.this grow might be a wash tho.600w lights dont have much light penetration, couple feet,so keep them short from the begining.also try to pic short strains.if u grow from seed then alwase remember all the same strain will grow diferent so pick out small fat plant and clone it so u have all same hight.
