Talking My soil PH still at 7
I posted a week ago about my soil ph being at 7.2. I got the feed back that it had to be my water, because I am using Fox Farm Ocean soil. I checked the water and it was at 7. I also checked my soil and it was the same. So I bought some of the ph liquid up or down. I once again checked my water and it was at 7. I used the ph down and brought it down to 6. I added ferts and watered. I waited an hour and checked the ph of the soil. It was 7 on one plant and 6.9 on another, so it did not go down much.
My question is should I continue to bring down the ph slowly over a few waterings, and will this bring it down to the 6.5 to 6.7 that I want??? Thanks guys for any help. My Misty girls are still doing well even though the ph it a little high.

A PH reading of 7.0 is fine for soil grows. Just leave it at that and you'll be fine. PH has to do with the acidity or alkalinity of the soil/medium. 7.0 is dead on neutral.

There fine at 7 but if you get lock up it'll sky rocket over night...
I strive to try to lower and keep my soils at 6.5 gives you time to react to problems before your plant is stressing to hard,,Try and lower gradually
no more then 1/4 to half point every fews days or when watering,,which in most soil cases is every few days

7 is cool, what you do is mix up your nutes then adjust ph, if you get a lot of nutes built up in the soil it will raise ph but that does not sound like thats going on here, as long as the plants look good i wouldent worry

pretty sure u dont have to mix mushroom compost in your soil , to bring your ph down soilwise mix in some dolomite lime , or sprinlke some sulphur powder ontop and water it , wait 2weeks and it wil slowly drop
