    Cool Buying a grow tent-opinions.

Hi Gang-Well after checking out the ebay and such I found this on the bay-item #243038-its 9.8'X5'X6.5'-I will be setting up in an attic area.It will be a lot easier for me to use this than to build an entire room-the door(trap) to the attic is only 24" square and its been a bit of a pain just getting chip board up there for the floor area. Now to find lights and the other stuff-just want a very basic operation for myself.Suggestions.Input will be apreciated.

I've got three ebay tents and love em all - never had troubles with any of them. That being said I'm also growing in the attic and might suggest just getting a bunch of panda film - stapling it up to the rafters is pretty easy and it allows you to utilize as much or as little space in whatever configuration you want for pretty cheap.

i would suggest a jarden or a nocer tent since they are thick matierial, i dont know about the off brand tents. i agree with gastanker about the panda film but behind the panda film you should insulate somehow, rolled insulation would probably work and a layer of tin foil.

    I've run 2x 1kW in a 4x8, 1kW in a 4x4, and 600w in a 4x4. Right now I'm growing with a 600w in a 5x5 panda film DIY tent along with a CFL veg tent (ebay 4x4x6.5 on it's side).

i have 2 off brand tents that work fine that i got off amazon. but, they dont put the air inlet/outlets in logical places or should i say, they dont have enough.
example, all my air inlets/outlets are on one side of the tent, so, if you have to place your tent in a spot where they are obstructed.. it sucks. if they would have added a couple on the other side. it would have made the tent more flexible.
there are some good, higher quality tent that have this feature.

    depends on your budget

    good luck in selecting

I have a Secret Jardin (4',4',6') and it works great. Nice metal frame not a PVC frame like some other brands have, so you dont need to worry about your light and equipment dropping on your plants and possibly ending like the climax of a Michael Bay movie. Lots of in/out holes ( 7 i think in total for mine) with 2 smaller holes for cords. The quality on this tent really shows and i recommend it to anyone looking for a tent.

i got a 1.2 x1.2m tent off ebay for 100 bucks and it makes things way easier compared to the cabinet i built.

only thing i found was heat can become more of an issue then the cabinet if the temp outside the tent is fairly high.
