Newbie First Grow
Hey, i just started putting together everything i think i need for a closet grow. first, here is a list of everything i have so far.
Grow room - 64" X 32" X 7' painted white
Pots - small mini pots , 8.5" pots
soil - Miracle grow organic potting mix, Promix
Nutrients - The original prue blend metabolic grow formula ( for veg only)
seeds strain - Northern lights
lights - 400 watt hps and mh
Fan - 4 " exhaust inline fan with carbon filter, oscalating fan
I have been doing a little bit of research but i am stuck on soil and nutrients. im thinking i can use the miracle grow for seedlings and sprouting. Then i may have to mix the promix with nutrients or some kind or water release. i know you water when the soil feels dry but is that really accurate to when you water? or is there some kind of guide line. my lights will be 18 hour veg, 12 hour flower. i will post pics

just put the germinated and ready seeds in a cup with soil, how long till the seedling started sprouting out and shooting upwards?
don't start seedlings off in hot soil, imo

Ya im germinating right now. as soon as there is a sprout im going plant into little pots with miracle grow. Do MH lights work for seedlings?
Use fox farms ocean forest or light warrior mix for seedlings. The fox farms line up also provides excellent nutrients.
i believe that fox farm soil has many nutrients ur plant needs, (if your not feeding during early veg) with a good nutrition plan later, u can use many other potting soils(make sure its organic) i don't like miracle grow because it has time release nitrogen pellets and can give it excess nitrogen during budding, witch can make ur smoke taste harsh,miracle grow is great for a house plant, not a pot plantThe set up sounds nice, and yes MH light works great for seedlings the 6500k light gives it healthy growth and dark color. My rule for watering is every other day weather it needs it or not as long as u get good drainage, and every other water feed it, I have experience with Nectar For The Gods, i love the line up, gives me tight dank indoor bud, and so far is doing a great job out door veg.
Fox Farms ocean forest worked great seedlings have sprouted.
about inch grow already in 48 hrs.

or is n.o.g the way to go ?
I think that that the fox farm line up is good and ive used it before, just flush well befor harvest, if u have the money N.O.G. is the way to go, other wise the fox farm should be good. How ever if you add TM-7 (micronuterient mineral supplement) and a single type if NOG called "Zeus Juice" to the fox farm that shit is a crazy growth enhancer.
