Help busted or not?!?! Shit! What would you do! Read the story please!

Ok so my closet is being set up for a small tent for 4 plants. Theres wood frame in there, bags of stuff, aluminum flexible ducting, and some jiffy pots. My room is currently a mess because I am cleaning it. So i have clothes everywhere.

Last night I had a small get together of friends over, and kept everyone outside. Towards end of night we started going in and I was really baked. So im inside and next thing i see iis my friend coming down the stairs. I go to him and said "why were you upstairs?" "cause I was looking for a shirt to walk home in" "whered you get that" "your room" "ohh" (in a kinda pissed off voice) and i think i went white or something cause i thought he found it. He took a shirt that was right on top of my bed in front of him. I dont know what look on my face but i felt like i just had a stroke :P (cause i didnt know if he found it)

Then I think i said like "where did you find that? "in your room", then i said "but where exactly or something" he said my bed right on top"and hes like "are you ok? Did i like see something I wasn't supposed to or something cause you look like cracked out? I said no i just couldnt find that shirt before and he said o well it was just on top. and laughed and that was it. He didnt seem to have seen it but hes also a decent liar.

Know ive known this kid since elementary school (im 20 now) although weve never really been close he is best friends with one of my best friends.

Ive spent over 400 bucks on this and countless hours setting up and planning it.

What do you guy think? Should I scrap it? Should i ask him and tell only him (hes good with secrets)? Should I try to ask him without asking him? I am almost in tears to think about scrapping my hours of work and hundreds of dollars of cash for nothing not to mention the fact that its so unknown its frustrating AS HELL!

PLEASE HELP!!??!?!?! WHAT WOULD YOU DO?!

I was thinking of asking if he took any money from my closet, and saying I had money in there and I thought im missing some and one of my doors was just very slightly open (like just before being closed) and hes the only one that went up there.

When someone is asked a question and or put on the spot and they feel they have to lye they will laugh at the end of their statment.

Laughing lowers blood pressure and relieves stress. When someone is being deceitful they tend to build stress, particularly if they are in danger of being uncovered. They will counteract this by frequently breaking eye contact with the individual(s) they are lying to, laughing, losing their train of thought and actively revising their story to make it more believable and therefor secure.

Your busted. But with that said if you know him long time why worry. Problem is he tells a few people and one of them gets a dui or some bullshit charge and the only way to get out of it is to rat your deal out.

Well he laughed at me cause i looked like I had seen a ghost probably, didnt laugh at the question, actually he was serious and kept eye contact with me. It was me who froze in spot.

That being said, as chris said, I'm not worried about if hell rat me, im worried who he'll tell, although hes a smart guy, been around pot enough, dont think he would be stupid and go tell everyone without telling me.

What do you guys think about the money in the closet idea?

I wouldn't worry about it. Get yourself a lock on your door and lock it when people are over. Who's to say he knew what all that stuff was in your closet?

If you think he did see it, next time you see him be like "dude I had the worst weekend ever. I was building shelves in my closet and I was almost done and realized I had a few pieces cut too short so I had to take it all down and redo it"

Is one persons word enough to get me busted really? I live in a suburb in canada btw, and there is barely any cops in my area. Its a small tent grow with 3 plants so I cant see how they would get any other evidence.

that persons word means jack...now if he comes back asking questions and wanting to see it or take pictures then you have a problem. cops need a lot more than a word from somebody to be able to enter someones house and bust them. They need hard evidence..pictures, other witnesses....maybe set u up somehow. What I would do..if he did see it and asks about it is tell him your light fell on your plants in the middle of the night, you checked them and they were all dead, grow over, end of story. Then lock that door and let NOBODY in it...ever.
