4x5 huh? you should do x2 400w in there. with 10 plants youd be golden

cheapest light, CL highbay lights with some DIY they make great grow lights. so long as your extractor fan/filter are strong enough there wont be any heat issues if you dont get a aircooled hood but i would get them anyways, air cooled light bulbs last much longer.

getting pretty good yeilds wth the cfl's just dont like all the bulbs it takes to get it running the equivelent of 2000wtts now i figure wht its gonna cost me to replace them i can put tht into an hps and do alot better havnt done more than 6 in there at one time i tend to let my girls get alittle to big and dont like to crowd them

all the more reason to go HPS, under 800w of light, with some practice, youll be pulling a lb easy then youll be thinking about how to add your cfls back in for more yeild

im just gonna say this once MORE LIGHT
i have never used a single light source and never will but you need to have a "MAIN" light source to provide the levels of light intensity if anything(you sill need spectrum this is why i use other lights in addition to HID or the various form of HID) to keep those lower buds growing and get deep into the main cola after is starts to get thick in there.

i hear ya i was just starting to reset up my shit when i fell off my roof broke my rite leg and shoulder couldnt quite finish it the way i wanted hopefully ill be back on my feet in a few months been 4 already planning on a overhaul as soon as i can walk wthout these fn crutches ! prbly leave tthe cfls on the walls have 3 mini lotus on top gonna replace those wth a hps just havnt decided how big i wanna go
