no its not. you should get 2x 4 feet long florecent lights liek you see in grages and stuff but get the lights are white and dont get hot. you use those until around your plants r 7inch tall , than switch to a 400 or 600watt MH light. And for flowering use a Super HPS light. Now you cant just go out and buy the HPS and MH bulbs you need to buy a power supply for them ill show u wat i got.

Honestly buddy, it'll work (used one impatiently before I got a better HPS) but the issue is finding a way to mount the light so the bulb is horizontal to the plants and such. Plus at 100w you arent getting many lumens and light penetration so remember that.

it will work for a small area. about 2 square feet or less. keep the bulb as close to the plants as possible and like devilwacause said mount it horizontally with a reflector. you usually can buy a security flood light with reflector and ballast all built in for about £20/$40. if your ok with your hands its worth taking it apart and mounding the ballast separately so you dont have to get rid of the heat it produces
