Default My Grow. Mango, Granddaddy Purps, Mystery Shadow, and more.

Its been awhile since I have made a thread and now that I have a established grow going on again I thought I would make a new thread to post pictures and updates. Its nice to be able to see your grow go from one stage to another and be able to document it.

Its been a little over a year since I had a harvest. Some of you may already know I was hit by a car back in Nov 2010 and had to stop growing. So I was away from RIU for awhile. I wasn't able to keep growing during that time so I had nothing to post. Since I am back and up and running again I figure now is a good time to start another thread.

Everyone is welcome. The thread is mostly for me, to keep track of everything and be able to see my progress. But everyone is welcome to follow along.

I have plants in various states right now. I have clones, vegging plants, and flowering plants. Most of the recent pics I have taken were of the flowering plants so we will start with that. I will take updated pics of the vegging plants and take pics of my clones for the first time. For now check out my flowering girls.

So you know, the 10th plant is the same one as the last 3. Its just a week or two older.

    Mango + Others 107.jpgMango 040.jpgMango 041.jpgMango + Others 002.jpgMango + Others 008.jpgMango + Others 009.jpgMango + Others 010.jpgMango + Others 012.jpgMango + Others 013.jpgMango + Others 017.jpgMango + Others 018.jpgMango + Others 019.jpgMango + Others 022.jpgMango + Others 027.jpgMango + Others 028.jpgMango + Others 033.jpgMango + Others 034.jpgMango + Others 069.jpgMango + Others 070.jpgMango + Others 071.jpgMango + Others 072.jpgMango + Others 096.jpgMango + Others 097.jpgMango + Others 098.jpgMango + Others 099.jpgMango + Others 104.jpg

So those are my girls in various stages. It shows the same ones at different ages. Now that I got everything posted you can watch them finish flowering. I will take updated pics of vegging plants and clones so you can watch them go from clones to vegging plants to flowering then harvest.

    So enjoy!

Right now I am using Fox Farm Ocean Forest with a little extra perlite added. I could show you some pictures of a few plants that are at the end of flowering, and they are still completely green. Have been flushing like hell but they are still not using up the energy stored in the leaves. Maybe the soil is still feeding it, I don't know. Not complaining, that means they have been fed well. Would have to take a pic of them but yeah, the soil was great. Not so good for seedlings though. Too hott.

Thanks. I grow a little less than what my space could handle and it works out. I get some pretty good size plants. Usually end up with more weight than I would have if I filled up the room.

You know whats crazy. The biggest bushiest one was deformed and didn't seem like it would do much when it was a seedling. But I know from past experience the deformed ones can end up being your best one by harvest. And this one didn't let me down. Its turning out better than all the others.

I am calling it Mystery Shadow. The plant in picture 4-9 is the mango. Just harvested it and its really good. Good color to it but a awesome smell. I smoked a small bud to test it (after a day of drying) and it tasted really good and I was lit. So I am really happy with the turnout. Just wish I vegged it awhile. I wanted to get a harvest quick so I did the first batch 12/12 from seed. But the bigger one, mystery shadow I vegged out for awhile.

Thanks. Yeah they are very healthy. I harvested the Mango 2 days ago. I have a few other plants that are due any day now. They are so healthy its the end of flowering and just about all the leaves are still green. I been flushing for over 2 weeks and there still not cannibalizing themselves. One I could have harvested already but I am letting it go longer in hopes it will start using up the energy in some leaves. But its still green as can be. Even when I harvested the mango some leaves were still nice and green and lots of others were half yellow half green. This last batch are actually the healthiest plants I have ever grown.

I wonder if zyme alive had anything to do with it. Because of Cannabis Country, I get a lot of free stuff from companies that want me to try and review there products. Well one company recently sent me there new nutrient called zyme alive. So I wonder if that had anything to do with it, could be. Its mostly for the roots. Its good for enzymes and beneficial bacteria. It is suppose to increase sugar production. I haven't noticed better trichome development though, and increased sugar production would help with that. Then again the strains I am growing now aren't very impressive. Mango was the best, and it doesn't form a whole lot of trichomes. Too early to tell how Mystery Shadow will do with trichome production. And the granddaddy purps is onlly a seedling right now. Just popped up yesterday. and the other flowering strains were bagseed so I don't know what they are and they have really disappointing me. Very little resin production. So I wont be able to tell how it does for sugar production until I grow a strain like white widow. I have grown it many times before, It produces a lot of trichomes, so I would be able to tell if zyme alive made a difference if I tried it with a strain like white widow.

For vegging I use regular CFL buls. Cool White, Soft White bulbs. They work great for clones and vegging plants.

Then for flowering I use HPS lighting. I usually always grow with a 400W cause its perfect for my grow space. However my 400 shit the bed recently so right now I have 2 150W HPS going. But its doing just as good as the 400W. Probably cause I get more light coverage. Instead of one light in the middle, I got one on each side so the intensity is more.

FYI, if you guys ever got any beautiful bud pictures you would like to get featured on my blog, cannabis country feel free to submit them. They could be picked and used as the bud of the week. Link is in my sig.

    Do you mean my 400W? Didn't have a 250W. I had a 400W running and currently have two 150W hps. That's a combined 300W.

I think you mean my 400W. Going from seed the yield differed. Some strains gave more than the others. There were different factors involved in what I got. But to estimate, when I did 12/12 from seed with white widow I got 2oz per plant. That was a good yield for 12/12

I really prefer to veg my plants some. Reason why I did 12/12 this time is its been over a year since I had a harvest and I wanted a fast one. After the car accident I had to stop growing, wasn't physically able. But now that I got 2 harvests, and got another 2 any day now I am not doing 12/12. The ones that replaces the 2 I just harvested were vegged for awhile. Like 4 weeks. And the ones that will replace the next two were vegged 4 weeks also. So I will be looking forward to a very nice harvest in another 6 weeks or so.
