pre-flowering/flowering questions

these two plants have been veg. for about a month and a half. theyre both a little under 2ft..
-grown in a mix of happy frog/ocean forest
-under several 100w cfl's, and i recently cut the lighting down to 12/12..

basically i just want to check with everyone that their in their pre-flowering stage, and showing somewhat signs of being females.
my concerns of them being male were the 'bulge' in pics 2 and 4.
