2nd Time Grower, Really Need Help My Fellow Friends!!

I'm happy you classified me as a "real grower" it made me feel special, but nah man Im waiting for my fkn MMAR so I learnt all kinds of shit while I wait to be legal.

Like on a CFL box from home depot they will say shit like 42w= 150w

what that means is that cfl will use 42 watts and put out the light of a 150w incandescent

(DO NOT USE INCANDESCENTS LOL!!!)

so its not 150 watts shining on your plant its actually 42, if you would want 150w of real power used you would need to buy like 4 of them to make 168w

42x4=168

not 4x150=600 (would be nice though)

now they say you need like 100w for the first plant then 50 for each additional one, but some also say 100w per plant (the more the better IMO)

so for 4 plants you would need like 250-400w but then you have to measure your grow space and find out how many lumens per square foot your putting out
10 000 is optimal but you could do with 7000 lumens per square foot

Ps: If any of this is wrong feel free to correc people. As I am only a learner at this point, No hands on!

Hmm, so one CFL wont even be enuf for one plant would it be?

2700k spectrum color for flower when using cfls and 5000-6500k when using cfl for veg. When you buy them dont look at watt equivalency is look at what the light consumes.

or you could use HIDs like Metal halide for veg and High pressure sodium for Flower
