You are sure you are not trying to tell us that your extract was 86%?

hehehe, I think I need to start spreading your quotes around - "I yielded 26g of hash oil from 28g of bud! And guess what, my hash oil is 100% cannabinoids!" Can you imagine - full melt bud! Most good concentrates are less than 86% cannabinoids so your bud would surely vaporize just as well if you dropped it on a hot knife. Can't wait to for some full melt bud!

Good luck with a federal illegal patent though. Curious as to how that works for you. From my understanding the patent and trademark office closed the entire medical marijuana section and isn't even allowing the trademark of strain names.

Can you upload a video of your bud on a hot plate bubbling? Or maybe a video of you yielding 95% trichs via dry ice? I'm very very curious. Actually just a picture of the bud would be nice.

Hopefully this picture will help you. Its slightly off in that there are cannabinoids in vegetative matter, but not the type we really care about. But since you've stated that your plants are 98% thricomes it really doesn't matter.



So in this case you can clearly see that of the total trichome around 2/3 of the weight doesn't even contribute to THC - yet yours do?

A really really good ice wax will be near 95% of just the round tips of the thrichs - the portion where the cannabinoids reside. Of the 95% just round resin heads ~50-85% of that mass is THC or CBD. To say your entire bud has a higher cannabinoid content than the end of a high class resin head is crazy.

This is still more than 2% vegetative matter and as they are whole trichs and not just the heads of them it's much much less than 60% THC. So I assume your buds look kind of like this? But with less green?

I was waiting for someone that knew more about this to post. I highly doubt this person is telling the truth, especially someone with 1 post, it just sounds impossible anyway. The highest THC content that I have ever seen was 27% in subcool's JTR. Also, I had never heard about a patent on a strain either. Thanks for pointing lol.

If it were even legal, to patent the strain you would need to shell out the money to get it genetically sequenced, which isn't too expensive or hard to do. But once you did that and released the strain the very first person to purchase it could either make a very very similar cross or just rename it and sell it as their own. The second would be illegal but unless of OP is going to hire a band of lawyers to track ever person that did it and pay to have their plant also sequenced... yeah, pretty fing silly.

And he says he had the opportunity to sell a single cutting for $25,000-50,000 and turned it down? If I knew completely nothing about marijuana and happened across a freak strain and someone offered me the down payment on a nice house for it, I think I'd take the money and think myself extremely lucky.

Beautiful pictures, Gastanker. Tell me ... how did you isolate the mostly trichs? Last time I made bubble, the heads came into the slushy water, and most of my stalks stayed on the vegetation. I wanna know your method. cn

hehe, you want the stalks? That was from a modified rock tumbler - replaced the rubber jar with glass and silk screen. Not the most efficient method of separating trichs, but works...

it is possible to have 60% thc i suppose,but thc doesnt mean you will get high...you could have a strain with 10% like a durban poison that would blow a 20% strain out of the water
