I do and the answers you have gotten are correct.

1. You could buy a hollow core door, Put all the vents in it you want and when you leave put back the original.

OR

2. You can vent out the back or side of the closet into an adjoining room. A small vent, 6 inches round, is not very visible. Paint it the color of the wall and most people wont notice the new addition.

You should also cut (or have cut) the door just a bit shorter on the bottom so that would become your PASSIVE VENT.

You then get duct tape, Poster Board, some flexible dryer duct and a 12" 3 speed Fan.

From the Poster Board make a cone "\ /" where the Wide end = 12 inches in diameter and the small end = six inches. Duct tape it really good all over the outside. Attach the dryer duct to the 6 inch side of the cone, duct tape the wide end of the cone to the 12 desk fan with the fan blowing into the cones end. Mount the fan somewhere near the plants or your greatest heat source. Run the dryer duct through the wall into an adjoining room (preferably behind a piece of furniture) Place a nice pretty vent cover over the hole and act like it was always there. You can always just spackle and paint over it before you move out if you need to. Hope this Helps.

There's 4 basic building blocks for plant growth and photosynthesis - light, water, co2 and nutrients. If any of those 4 basic building blocks are deficient in any way, or the plant doesn't get enough of them, the plant will either die or won't grow properly. A plant uses up the co2 in the air around it's leaves in a few minutes, if this isn't replaced every few minutes the plant will stop photosynthesis, slow down it's metabolic rate, become stunted and eventually die.

This is why you need to replace the air in your grow chamber once every 3 minutes for healthy plant growth and photosynthesis. A ventilation fan performs two primary functions in a plant grow chamber 1) To ensure a constant flow of c02 rich air from the outside via negative air pressure within the grow chamber with the fan extracting stale, co2 spent, warm air and sucking in new cool fresh air via the passive air vent; 2) To control temperatures and heat build up by extracting hot warm air and pulling in fresh cooler air.

I don't really see how an air conditioner (unless it's vented to the outside) can help you achieve point 1, although it would probably achieve point 2 - to control temperatures.

Contrary to popular belief, it's actually better to intake air from inside a house, flat or dwelling, than from outside fresh air because air in a house where people live will have far higher concentration ppm of co2 in it than that brought in from outside the house for the simple fact that humans exhale co2.

Do not underestimate the importance of bringing in fresh co2 air from outside the grow chamber.
If a closet space was not tightly sealed (i.e. a 2 inch gap between the wood floor and the bottom of the door) would this be sufficient ventilation for passive air intake if there's a vent out fan in the ceiling?

ive been watching the urban grower clips and he always closes up the in/out vents and just puts a fatty a/c and co2 burner. check out some of the clips of the grow ops he goes into. theres one around the 3rd or 4th set where he revamps someones grow room and closes all of the vents. check it out Urban Grower | Advanced Nutrients Medical | Medicinal Marijuana Cultivation Information

the one where they revamp the room is called angels garden and extreme grow room makover.
