The guy in the test is a moron , although achieving a result , he could have just as easily made the fronts to those box's leaving a small flap to poke his stick thing through , i repped you for it all the same.....
The orca film looks alot like a pvc film not a papery material as the other op suggested.

It tears like paper and has fibres inside. Its obviously not paper. It supposed to have nano sized crystals. But if you had it in your hand you would never know its used as grow film and would assume it was a weird type of paper/plastic hybrid.

the mylar is made for it, but its a pain to put up, tears easily, hard to clean, etc etc, but its the way to go.

flat white paint is great, sure it gets dirty, but ya throw another coat up every time ya start a new grow. its cheaper, and requieres little to no maintenance. ive used both, didnt really see any difference in more/less light. im sure the mylar is better, but why not just use white paint, and throw a 23w CFL in there towards the bottom and be even brighter.

Yeah i agree the pvc materials are very easy to hang , are water proof and easy to wipe clean , im not sure about the black and white stuff , it lets an awful lot of light through , i used it on my first op on a small tent and it poured through...

As suggested in the Video Mylar is ok , but developed in the 60's and i have to say with pvc white equivalents , areas do seem alot brighter....

Im guessing he didnt make a mistake. Its absolutely fine using a 400w bulb in a more powerful ballast.
