Hey everyone, just wanted to share with you my grow box. At first I was planning on building one myself, but when I saw this I couldn't resist. Got it at Lowes for $45 Dimensions are 26.8" x 14.8" x 36.5" Here are a few pics! (Sorry about the quality, from my phone..)

All locked up in my closet!!

With my 2 29 watt CFL's giving a total of 4400 lumens. I plan to add 2-4 more CFL's as they grow more.


What do ya guys think?? All comments/suggestions welcome!!

you might get away with 1 in 1 gal pots, flower early, and repot your fems, but its bad to shock them during flowering, and youll need more than 1 gallon easy. the box allows light through, make sure when you do flower its left away from direct light, i can see your light inside, from the outside..

ok cover the inside of the walls with a reflective cover here are your top choices

1) Mylar- very reflective with light
2) white paint- same as mylar
3) aluminum foil(shiny side)- this will work also

you should have considered doing this either way b/c once you line the walls with a reflective cover then your light will be used to the max and will cover those light spots, i have the same kind of cabinet too only mines bigger that i got from home depot if u want i can show u pics of mine.

I thought it was better to have the dull side out if using tin foil? (Although I've read that it's not that great for reflectivity) I remember reading this a few times... Also, please show your pics, I'm interested in your set-up!

DO NOT USE THE SHINY SIDE OF TIN FOIL. the wrinkles it has creates hot spots. tin foil is very poor for reflecting light. it only reflects like 73% of the light. titanium matte flat white paint is the cheapest, most effective way to create a reflective surface. it reflects like 85% of light according to Jorge
