self flower and how?

Hi all. This is my second go around but this time I got some nirvana seeds. I have three blue mystic and three Northern Lights X Haze. They all sprouted around the first of December. I have been using a 400 watt hps along with a 175 metal halide with miracle grow soil. Nothing special but they look as though they will make it. Yesterday I was checking out the crop and noticed male pollen balls on one. Upon further investigation I noticed a different one had began to bud! They have been on a strict 18/6 light cycle that is controlled by an electric timer. I am wondering what caused these plants to flower and what should I do about it. Could it have been the cold weather that brought down the temp in the grow room that caused this? Should I go ahead and switch to 12/12 now? I was hoping to veg another month. I know someone out there has ran into this situation before. Advice would be greatly appreciated.

it maye be happening because they are rootbound, overwatered, or just underfed.

are they budding?
or just putting out preflowes?

The white hairs are coming out all over. Not thick yet but it looks just like when my females started budding on the first go around.

or interspersed throughout the plant?

most plants will show single calaxes at budspots during veg once they've reached sexual maturity....

It looks like in clusters all up and down the stem. Here are pics. The tall one is the the one with buds but the sativa hasnt shown sex yet. The only ones that have are the blue mystic. What do you think? They look rather unhealthy but i think its the cold. I am using the same method as my first grow which turned out fine. The last pic has balls and some bud forming. Not sure if I should chop it yet.

your plants need nitrogen.

I figured there was something wrong. I have never used nitrogen. Is it hard to obtain and use? What is your method for using nitrogen?
