Alright, I'm new to this. I was thinking about going with fluorescents but my mind has been changed to HPS. My question is what kind of light setup/how many plants would I need to pull a pound in 90 days or less?

- Minimum 1000 watts
- Probably 6-16 plants
- Heavy yielding strain

I personally would go with more plants and shorter veg time.. this way yu are less likely to run into nutrient and pH issues..

fl's are great for veg.

hey im garrett...im about to grow some green crack but i dont know if this is a good set up......im growing six plants
1- 85 watt per plant
and a couple 42 watts on the side for lower canopy

Do you have much experience growing?

I like the idea of having lots of smaller plants instead of fewer, bigger plants...seems like less could go wrong. If you figure that an experienced grower can get like .5 grams per watt out of 1000w HPS, and you want about 450 grams you should be right around what you need...but a little more light never hurts (unless you lack ventilation)
