So, you're using a 60w CFL? I've never seen a 60w CFL before... You sure you're not using a 23w = 60w CFL bulb? Can I get pics of the bulb .

does it matter what seeds you use? or do they have to be some form of dwarf seed?

shit you were right, the bulb is a cfl 13W = 60W. but it still has a 900 lumen output, and emits a highly bright crisp light. like i said, because of the extreme reflectivity of the silo i cant look into it with it on but it stays cool.

also, i calculated that the surface area of the base is only 28 in. sq. which means that its about 900 lumens over 2 sq. ft. is that alright?

no im just using a bag seed that i determined was a female from fdd's seed sexing chart. it was fat, round as could be, and the indentation by the attachment. if it turns out not to be a woman, no biggie. i have a 120 seed colection. that was the best looking out of all of them.

shes about 2 cm tall and starting to shake off the seed shell.
all told shes 4 days old... so moving pretty quick

i have a 27 W = 100 W but it gets hotter and i would have to work out a new way to cool it...

jaykhub you could grab a cheap 50 watt hps light from home depot and wire youself for less than 40 bucks.

where is the seed sexing chart i haveyet to see it. I didnt think you ould determine the sex by seed.....Jmac
