So I'm just a newbie grower trying his hand on his first grow (Atlantadirect's first grow DWC closet) and I was wondering what some of the worst/dumbest/most unforseen mistakes were that some of you other growers have made before me. Hopefully I can learn from your errors so I don't have to learn from my own. I also thought that others might be able to learn from our collective mistakes. Thanks

Biggest mistake? Not starting projects like this sooner.

passing out before i watered and they wilted so bad the yeild was at least 1/3 of what it should have been. Also, when i first started i mixed a 0-50-30 w/ another additive and roasted them from the inside out. Flushing didn't do a thing, just watched them die. Now that's a baad feeling, spend more money to get a lot less. I've learn't a lot on my own. I never would have thought to actually write this shit up on the internet, but here i am. We'll see what happens.

Over watering , under watering wrong ph levels , heat stress , nutrent burn , mg deffencys, burning cholas of my hps haha , droped my fan,s above my pants ontop of them (dodgy diy work) let my dogs in my room , telling a m8 i was growing just about every thing

But every thing hahah but worth it in the end you get there

Biggest mistake I made was not flushing. I am an ineperienced grower, outdoors only and maybe only 1 plant per year. The sun here in Spain is good for the plants they grow like crazy, I nuted sparingly but these things grow so damn big their waste accumulates. Result poor yeild but....

Next year once a month I will religiously flush once a month come rain or snow (sun or sun here

I was using bending and didn't tie a branch down tight enough and it broke loose and was touching the light for a few hours.

Also, not letting it dry quite slowly enough after harvest..

Trying to keep a hermie by pulling off it's balls, in the end it pollinated itself and one of my girls. Big mistake on my part, from then on herms are treated as males in my garden.

Disclaimer: All I say is BS and only do this to be cool!

The worst mistake i ever made was to think that i could pour super strength miracle grow on my plants soil and spray all of their leaves with miracle grow in a mister at the same time whilst my plant was near halogen lamps.
I thought they would grow quicker and bigger.
