Exclamation Going to 12/12 - Trimming Question

Hello.

Quick Question.

I've got that plant which is 20 inches tall. I have those clones which are 7" tall. I'll switch to 12/12 once those clones reach 12".

It's all under a 600W MH right now. I'll pop in the 600W HPS once 12/12 begins.

I want to trim this plant to get the Super Spears. I figure I've got one to two more weeks of veg before those clones get to 12". So at least a week for this plant to recoup the surgery.

What should I trim off to maximize the goodies?

- slash and burn the lower 10 branches just leaving the upper 8 branches on a slim stalk?

- measure in 3" from the tip of each branch then commence to scalping to the trunk??

- Other?
