1) I have a problem. Right now I am using a 400w HPS bulb for veg and flower. Now I have a buddy offering me to use his 400w HPS also. Now if I agree to this he would like ot have 25% of the harvest. is this fair? Is this worth it for me? Plz help!! :P


2) My plants seem to be showing some chrystals on the new growth. The plants are only 3 weeks old. Is this normal? Is this possible? I am using Blueberry. Is this a sign of a girl?

If hes offering, then you dont owe him shit..your using ur electricity right? and takin the risk of being raided.

how many plants are there? you really dont need another 400watt if youre only growing 4 or 5 plants, but you can spread the plants out and add another 400watt if you want. it would increase yield, but i dunno if id be willing to give him 25% - then again, if you use his 400watt then it might increase yield by 25%, which would go to him and be sorta pointless for you. basically, the extra weed his 400watt would grow would end up going to him - and thats IF your yield increased by 25%, otherwise youll actually take a LOSS. i wouldnt do it, smoke2live made a good point about your electricity. tell your buddy youll give him 10% and if he says no, then say "your loss then" and let that be the end of it.

Very good point. See after this round I am getting myself new equip so this will never be an issue for me again. Me taking a loss after all of this since it has been all my money thats soaked into this and all my work. My issue was that I am vegging with a hps and worried I wont get results that I am hoping for...

haha dont worry, its true MH is better than HPS in terms of vegetation - however, your plants will still be huge and your yield will be larger since its HPS. MH is good for veg cus it promotes leafy growth. youll get the results youre hoping for, as long as you give the plant the nutrients it needs and proper ventilation. if you want, you can go ahead and add the 400watt - but i wouldnt give your buddy more than 10 to 15%. the extra 400watt would increase yield by, at most, 25% - which would then go to your buddy..kinda pointless. but i may be wrong! it might double your yield! if you spread the plants out so each 400watt covers 5 plants. your yield will be good either way, youll yield ALOT more since its HPS instead of MH. the quality will also be awesome since youre using HID and not crappy cfl's.

Its a bum deal for you imo.
1. Any gain in yield you get you have to give him aka 25% of what you end up with.
2. You take all of the risks.
3. You pay for everything including the electric.

So in all reality you are the losing party as you give him all the extra weed,you do all the work take all the risks pay for all the extra nutes for bigger plants grown under 8oo watts and you pay the extra electric costs.
Bad deal in my opinion.
