My friend let me borrow these lights he found.
I know they are a 250 wattage.
I have a hps sunburst ballast with a 250 w hps light in now.
Would i be able to use this bulb in it?

There should be some type of stamping on the base of the bulb that will tell you exactly what it is. Look closely all around the base. All of the manufacturer's stamp there bulbs......

should NOT be used with a HPS ballast. Either need a selectable ballast that can go both ways or a MH ballast.

dont use mh bulbs in your hps ballast, get a converter or universal ballast for mh and hps, i would recommend using cfl's for vegging and keep your hps for flowering, those mh bulbs can be dangerous.
