My seedling is growing too tall.

My young seedling has only 6 single leaves and is already 4 inches tall, is this normal? Im worried because it is a closet plant and i dont know how to naturally fix this problem. any advice would be much appriciated.

Sounds like stretch bud. How close are your lights to the plant?

It was about 6 inches away from the light. but brought it down to about 3 inches.

CFL i assume. With good air movement you can keep that bitch about an inch above your girl.

whats wrong with that? genetics r a big part, could be perfectly normal for ur plant, after all 4 inches isnt much growth.

Im not sure what kind of light it is, the bulb says its a grow and show 65 w and the bulb is blue, its not flouresent though.

the plant is only like a week old though and im growing it in a 3 foot tall closet

thats fine after a week, be careful with that bulb, if that what I think it is, u can never get the plant close enough to prevent much stretching because u will burn the shit out of it with a grow bulb. better to get whatever CFL's u can afford, this way u can get them REAL close, less then 2 inches from the plant & they will not burn ur little gal.
