side lighting or veg room?

ive got a 400 watt hps on a few lst'd plants and am about to go into flower
i also ave about 10 2700k 23 watt cfls. so my question is should i make a sepreate veg room so when these get out of flower ill have more to put under? or should i mix the spectrums under flower because ive heard side lighting increases yield

I would get those CFLs and use them for side lighting in you flower room defiantly help with the yeilds

I'm with web. The 2700k ain't gonna do much for veg, anyways. Can you pick up a little T-5 to start some more plants under for when these are done flowering?

@ 23 watts, your gunna have to have them right up against your buds to make any impact

2700k is for flowering, dont veg with em

why not do both? use some for sidelighting and some for veg. going out and getting a few more bulbs wouldnt hurt either. I have noticed no difference between using only blue spectrum for veg and using only red spectrum for veg. but heres the thing...cannabis has 2 types of chloroplasts, one that interacts with the red side of the spectrum and one with the blue. So using a mixed spectrum makes sure your not wasting a good chunk of your plants potential and i highly suggest you use a mixed spectrum, both in the flowering and veg stages.
