Nutes Question

I am using nutes (both Grow & micro nutrients). Obviously, each has a recommended amount and it states what the EC should be afterwards. If I am testing my water, should the EC value equal the combined EC value of both items above? (Ex. 1800 for Grow & 1700 for Micro would be a combined 3500 EC value [without taking into consideration of the EC value of plain tap water])

Just want to make sure I am working towards the correct number since it is the first time I have used an EC meter.

the ec should equal 1800 on top of what it is with out the nutrients like if your water is 15ec with out the nutrients then it should be 1815 with the nutrients hope this helps and just an example.
