I'm a first time grower so am learning on the fly but my plants of five weeks look pretty good. They are a healthy green with nice thick stems and alot of large leaves.

I slightly overfed them in the earlier stages so there are some small spots on some of the older leaves on some of the plants but they have recovered nicely. At this time the only issue is with a couple of them, whose leaves are drooping down slightly from their long stems. The others don't display this look, with the leaves standing outward.

After using 200 watts of flourescents on them, (24 hrs a day) the bulb broke and I had to replace it with my light that i was going to use for flowering. So right now, with 1-2 weeks of veg stage left, I'm having to use my 1000 watt hps light. My question is, will this hurt or have any negative effect on my yield?

it will make them longer and stringier during veg phase. i think it is better having the hps than the cfls on them at this point.

So it will not affect bud production, if at all maybe increase it when I begin to flower?

I have a question can mh be used through the whole cycle? As I only have a 400w MH at the moment I also have 2 25w aqarium twists with the red spectrum on the plants which have not died! 1st grow and do not know much the remaining plants are healthy and green with large colas on top and afew small buds around the stalk.Also I have heard that sunmaster makes a high conversion bulb with a full red spectrum & wil this cure my problem as I do not have much money & this is a hobby! Plants are 2.5 ft tall & spindly as the stalks are not very thick 6to 8mm. Grow time is now 8wks.

yes it CAN but it will not produce very great buds at all, at the least get you're conversion bulb.

Baked: I would hope you'd be fine, iof they are 12 inches tall i would go ahead and 12/12 it, if not you should probobly be ok. not much you can do if it's all you got

Yes, a MH lamp will grow great plants with great buds! Put that 400w on your plants from now on. Don't worry about a conversion bulb, they have fewer lumens.

I may be new to this game but have done alot of reading! when someone sends me shit like that I send it back! Just wanted to know if it could be done(MH only that is)that crack about the high conversion bulb was a serious question and I was asking for infromation from people who can help and not hinder my progress!I wish him the best in his future endevours! I know the plants need red spectrum in the bloom phase and wondered if the 400w H.Con bulb would give me enough as I know the standard MH gives off alot of blue.Thanks again russOR!
