a self rotating growroom floor.

i was just thinking of lightmovers. why not make a floor that is raised a little and make that fucker spin right under your light, like a circular floor area that you put your grow on and it continually rotates. ? sound good or not ? anyone ever seen this attempted ?

it is simpler, cheaper, and less complicated to make a light mover, imho.
to make a floor spin, gonna take some semi sophisticated engineering...

plus think of the weight of all those plants and soil or even worse hydro. It would have to be a heavy duty piece of equipment to rotate all that weight. I dont think that it would work for hydro because of all the air hoses etc. You would have to keep your res and your air pump on the rotating platform to keep it from getting tangled as it spins

Yes but due to the electrical lines and other components it would be much more expensive than a light mover.

I've seen it brought up before but never carried out.

Hydroponics would almost be out of the question.

Could work pretty easily if kept small, like 6' in dia.

Yeah I read High Times and that was where I found. Wasnt trying to correct you 420 just sharing what I have seen.

It's cool, I love seeing things I haven't come across and I never knew that thing even existed.

I hand rotate my plants daily so that might be an option down the line.

those two finds are both cool, but not what i quite had expected, yea the fucker would have to be able to hold up to alot, but what about it ? i am talking take your grow area and find out what is the biggest circle area you could put inside your grow area, then make a damn floor that is on a gear that spins around, it would be pimp and whoever builds it first gets rep, lol

fuck! you all wanna not get your hands dirtys and build one, then fine dammit, ima build one. ima buy me a monkey and have that lil bastard caged in the growroom with a bike in his cage hooked up to the circle floor, yes the monkey will be the floors source of power. he peddles the bike, i get RPMs. only need to work the kink out of making the monkey stay peddlin'... auto banana feeder type gizmo or sumthin seems in order. this is kinda the same method i thought about writing congress in a attempt to rid the U.S. of nuclear power plants. what you do is instead of letting all hardcore rapists and killers in prison do nothing all day except lay in their bunks, you make them bastards hop on a bike that is hooked up to a huge powercell and you make them peddle all day for a free powersource that doesnt hurt the environment. it all makes sense to me, or did i wake-n-bake too much lol
