ALso ......if ther top does not make it.....DO NOT let wated go down INSIDE the stalk..seal it with somethin ...I dont care what u seal it with but seal it, or be REALLY careful cause I had some that rotted due to water goin doen in the stalk when at that age...careful..

Just put some tape around the brake, the brake will make the plant stronger, trust me. as long is it is not broken in half it will grow back together.

Thats not badly broken and it will survive just fine.
Get some normal bandage and some clear sellotape and just wrap a small pice of bandage around the break and then tape it on fairly tightly.
If you feel that there are some bad cracks in the stem add a little pasting of rooting gel and this will help it to repair itself and stop mould or fungus from forming.
Use the bandage so you don't have to stick tape directly to your plant and if you leave a lil gap in the taping where the bandage is more air can move around the break

doesnt matter how big you grow then , if you only have 1 400. then if you grow big plants there is lots of waste, i used to think the bigger the better. but now i only vegg between 1 and 2 foot. because the lite cannot get to the lower parts of the plants. if your plants are that big, id try to get more lite to the lower parts,of the plants. i think you will get upto 3 to 4 oz with a lot of waste, with only one 400hps.

Yeah, I realize that now. Too bad I didn't find this site earlier on in my first grow. You guys are great! Like I said before.... next time it will go smoother and I think I'll get more 'desirable' results. I'm looking forward to it. My husband thinks I'm nuts because I'm always fussing over my plant... He doesn't appreciate it like I do... what a shame.

on my first grow. i went it alone, told/asked knowbody.
i was growing and growing i even had to change my grow room, cos i grew far too tall, and didnt account for the ifoot for pot 1 foot for lite and 1 for the space inbertween the plant and lite. my first grow was a rite fuck up, till i found this god send of a site. i didnt even know what a hermie was, untill i grew 4 out of 4 in my 1st grow. 4 big massive 3 1/2 hermies. load of shit, i knew the plants were female, they were clones, but i didnt know about lite leaks or the need for a timer,for 12/12. im getting better im now on with grows 4/5 and 6. 3/5 plants every 3 weeks hopfully.
you can only get better with time, dont rush and try to stick to the rules of growing and you should be ok.
hope you get a good harvest. good idea tieing them. just put wax over the broken bit or tape. i used wax in the past, its easy and waterproof.

Well I've had a rough first grow. The plant survived the break in the main stem and is in the begining of it's 4th week of budding. I made lots of mistakes and have learned what NOT to do next time around The main cola did not survive... but the rest of the buds are in tact! I put up a couple pics of some of the buds. Not as big as I'd like, but I'm just gald I got something out of it
