OK everybody I am in day 43 of flowering. I need some help. This is my first grow and everything is going like clock work. I even smoked a little. I picked some of the smaller buds that looked like they might be taking something away from the bigger guys. It was a really great high. Nice relaxing really stoned high. I loved it! My first grow and I was finally reaping the rewards. Well any ways my question is my plants look like they have about two weeks left, but I am not sure when to start flushing. I looked at the trichomes and most of them are cloudy but not many are amber. Should I wait to flush when more of them turn amber or should I start flushing now. I'm just guessing two more weeks because that would make it 8 months. How does one know when to start flushing? Any help would be greatly appreciated I will be posting picture's tomorrow to help everyone with figuring this out.

never take buds off before there ready too...it will effect your plant.

From what I have read, I guess it depends on what type of high you are after, if you wait longer and have a decent amount of amber amd flush then by the time you actually harvest 90% may be amber and you will couchlock high, possibly even have lost some potency. Amber is the beginning of resin glands degrading as I understand so you would prob only want half amber at the start of flush to end up with lots amber, if thats the high you want. I have been picking at mine, clear/cloudy and its a great high.

Taking buds off before ready affects it in a good way though, allows the extra nutes to go to bigger buds on top instead of lower small partially useless ones eating them for hardly any return.

Thanks hoochie I figured that about those little guys sucking up all the juice. I may be a first time weed grower but I have been a vegtable and herbs gardener for a long time. So I know getting rid of the useless growth helps a plant. When I smoked those little one's I got a nice euphoric calming high. It's the kind I really enjoy. The kind without getting all paranoid. So I think I am going to head your advice and start flushing now. Is it two weeks of straight water or just 1 1/2? Or is this just preferance. Also I want to know if during the flush can I still add molasse's? Oh yeah I'm gonna post some picture's in about 20 minutes or so. There with my cell phone so theree not the greatest, but I am gonna see if I can get my sisters digital for a few.
