Wink how much light is overkill
i have a 1000 w hps with a good sunmaster bulb.I gorw in a cabinit with 5 1/2 sq ft of plant space and plan on a SOG. My 400 mh does not have the punch.the bulb is 150,000 lumens and will be in a air cooled hood.

10,000,000 Lumens. If you exceed 10,000,00 Lumens that's a problem. However, not for you or the plant, more like a problem for the power company.
